Aiming to be the first door of a series that opens the textile-technology relationship to technical textiles, smart textiles and bio textiles and new surface searches, "Futuretex Istanbul-Touch the Future Business Idea Textile Competition" is a Business Idea Competition which is open to team participation in technical textile performance, innovation in textiles & innovation.

It is planned to develop common business ideas within the union of participants from different fields, to define an axis on textile production and productization that serves the ecosystem with alternative and innovative materials, and to carry out AI transactional design applications in textile production and textile (fabric and pattern) design.

In 2024, with over 11.5 billion dollars in exports, the textile sector is taking action to increase its global market share, boost value-added exports, and elevate the brand perception of the Turkish textile sector to a higher level with its innovative textile industry. In this context, the Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters' Association (İTHİB), the umbrella organization for Türkiye's textile and raw materials exports, is carrying out many projects within the framework of these goals. Among the sector's projects, the development of the sector's perception of design and innovation is a top priority.
